When you come to the point of (re-)installing a new OS, I found a certain Installation Order Pattern crucial. Using PCs since the Win 95 generation (never used MAC's sorry, but that's another point of perspective, of course :-)), I came across with the following personal suitable order:

01. Backup any files from previous systems first.
02. Format your your drive(s) (raw/new format only), partitions prefered (for backups or/and multiple OS install), mostly you will format Win OS on C: letter.
03. Install your prefered OS.
04. After successfull install, crack/patch your copy to make it fully legit. Internet connection is disabled. Make a system restore (this System restore is a must!). Do not use the internal Windows Updating software yet, you can do that later.
05. Install all your drivers, step by step; Intel/AMD drivers, graphic, ethernet and sound drivers, make a system restore (this System restore is a must!). PS: you might at this stage install you Zipper if you use appz zipped :-).
06. At this point I recommend as a second security step to install the uninstaller software with log file, any following app you may install now with the installer/uninstaller monitor. Make a system restore.
06. Install your antivirus software, registry cleaner and spyware. Make a system restore. (Updates AFTER patching/cracking and full system scan optional). Don't forget to disable I-connection before installing AVs (follow the installation guides provided).
07. Install MS Office, crack it/patch it, make a system restore. (Updates AFTER patching/cracking is optional).
08. Install Codec pack(s). Make a system restore.
09. Install Partition Magic, Acronis. Make a system restore.
10. Install Burner Software, Music Appz, crack it/patch it. Make a system restore.
11. Install Vopt, Zip and P2P Solutions, Iso Makers, Messenger, Download Manager and Screen Capture Appz. Make a system restore.
12. Finally install theme packages. Make a system restore.
13. Start to update your OS first, followed by MS Office, followed by AV, Reg Cleaner and spyware.
14. Update all other appz you have installed optionally. Make a system restore, this last system restore will give you a fresh and working system setup!

Why so many system restores?
System restores will help you to go back in each step in case anything went wrong. Now this comes in handy since basically any application can cause you problems, also drivers! I very recommend this to do, although it takes a couple of more minutes during the entire install process.
Tip: Move the "Add or Remove Programs" and the "System Restore" Icon to your Windows Start Task Bar for ease-of-use efficient handling.

!!!!! If you can afford it, two things you should consider to (actually) buy in life for your rigs, an Anti-Virus Software and a Registry Cleaner, those two applications keep your system clean and running until you buy a MAC :-)!!!!!

1.1 MS Windows XP Pro VL SP3 english, Service Pack 3 Build 2600



Pretty much straight forward, do a first clean HD format (raw/new) of your hard disk partioned (prefered). Install the OS as usual, disk may ask you for the key. After installation check with the activation tool, whether the Os is legit, if not, use the tool and make it so. Done...
Finally, you might give it an update of course :-)

Service Pack 3

Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) build 5512 was released to manufacturing on April 21, 2008, and Microsoft planned to make it available to the general public on April 29, 2008 via Windows Update and the Microsoft Download Center. However, due to a compatibility issue with Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System, the release of Windows XP Service Pack 3 was delayed. A feature set overview has been posted by Microsoft and details new features available separately as standalone updates to Windows XP, as well as features backported from Windows Vista, such as black hole router detection, Network
Access Protection, and Windows Imaging Component. Microsoft is reporting that over 1,000 fixes have been packed into SP3 along with some performance improvements as well. Internet Explorer 7 is not included as part of SP3.

With the release of SP3, retail and OEM versions of Windows XP with service pack 3 slipstreamed into them can be installed and run with full functionality for 30 days without a product key, after which time the user will be prompted to enter a valid key and activate the installation. Volume license versions still require entering a product key.

Microsoft noted SP3 can be installed on systems with Internet Explorer version 6 as well as version 7; and similarly Windows Media Player 9 Series or Windows Media Player versions 10 or 11. Although service packs have, until now, been cumulative, installing Windows XP Service Pack 3 requires that the PC must at least be running Windows XP with Service Pack 1 installed. However, it is possible to slipstream SP3 into the Windows XP setup files at any service pack level including the original RTM version without any errors or issues. Slipstreaming into Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 is not supported.
SP3 does contain operating system component updates for Windows XP Media Center Edition and for Windows XP Tablet PC Edition including security updates for .NET Framework versions 1.0 and 1.1 which are included in these Windows XP SKUs. However it does not include update rollups for the Windows Media Center app. in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. It also omits Windows Media Player 10
security updates although Windows Media Player 10 is included in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.

There are a total of 1,073 fixes in Service Pack 3.
The Service Pack 3 RTM is integrated by Microsoft itself.

How to use :

- Download all files and move them into one folder
- Use WinRAR to extract the file "faXcooL_en_winxp_pro_with_sp3_vl.iso"
- Use Alcohol, MagicISO or UltraISO to burn the ISO file on CD.
- Enjoy.



Remark: Concerning Mods, I had previously tried to successfully install over 15 different Win XP Mods without success, meaning something is always cracked-up; windows files missing, kernels wronlgy coded, crashes, bugs etc. So I really recommend you to use untouched copies or originals (but who has them anyways :-)), not stripped downs'. Your choice fellas.

As above mentioned, fresh install, raw HDD format, partioned, and install as in the usual way. Again the Os might ask you for the key during install. There is a Vista activation crack in the DL included, since this is a Vista crack and I could not found a windows server 2008 crack yet,
use that one, your copy will be partly a server edition and a Vista Ultimate edition. Cool right...

This is how you activate your Windows Server 2008 copy (any version/************************):
*After installing Windows Server 2008 to your computer, click Start -> Run and type Services (or go to Start -> Program -> Admin tools and choose services from there). Go to Services->Software Licensing and choose "Disabled" as Startup method.
*Reboot your computer, when rebooted, go to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\ Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing and delete the tokens.dot file there, replacing it with the one from this package. Yet again, go to Services->Software Licensing and choose "Automatic" as Startup method.
*Run the vistaactivation.exe file (as included), activate your computer as if it was running Vista Ultimate. (Should any errors occur, just neglect them.) Restart your computer.
*After reboot, Windows Server 2008 will now ask for a cd-key, use the following one:

*Now you've got a activated Windows Server 2008 version.
*So what's the downside with all this? The computer is semi-recognized as Vista Ultimate now, but server roles should still apply as if they were part of the Server 2008 version.

Well one of many, and i am quite happy with this edition, it comes with a keygen and patch (your AV will probably give you a virus alert and removes the patch), so uncheck your current protection, afterwards install the app according to the install log. I on purpose do not ues the security suite since i think its overloaded with options i don't need, so i stick to the AV version, but the choice is yours of course. Avast, NOD, Kaspersky and Norton i used previously but i was not happy and for the 2nd and 3rd AV keys got very quick blacklisted. Avira is an option though!
Bitdefender needs a bit configuration, excempting your folders where you have your uploads and downloads etc. to avoid that your keygens etc. get deleted, but else, very good overall!!!

For me the best choice since you only need to download the codecs which are really needed, by the software itself. It's freeware and for regular audio users the perfect match. Detects almost every codec, especially converted H.264 movies (if core codec is previously installed).

Best and fastest defrag app for Windows. Has some good options available, batch file defrag etc. to apply the reg file. Install the reg file into your install dir, click (multiple) times on the reg file. Open Vopt and it should be patched to version 9.0. Another option is to manually import the key to your registry, although this was not necessary in my case.

Vopt is a disk defragmenter that includes batch and scheduled defragmentation options to keep your disk performance at an optimal level and can show information and statistics for file usage, fragmentation, and more all combined in a visually rich yet compact environment.

It offers advanced features to override NTFS packing style, exclusion of large files and specific paths, as well as strategic placement of file to improve defragmentation speed. Vopt also provides options to optimize swap file and other system settings and wipe free space, includes additional tools to find large files, delete junk files, clean your browser cache, ******************s and more.
